Morton Buildings has long maintained a goal of providing its' customers with efficient and effective structures. One example of that goal occurred in 1971; the year Morton Buildings introduced its' revolutionary insulation system to the construction industry. This insulation system was so advanced, it exceeded the current mandates of the Energy Policy Act of 1992. Today, it is one of the most efficient insulation system on the market. Unlike many builders, Morton Buildings' unique structural concept allows plumbing and electrical to be placed between the insulation and the finished wall or ceiling. When a suspended ceiling is used, the HVAC can be placed between the insulation and the finished ceiling. This configuration means no penetration of the insulation, increasing energy efficiency and insulation performance. |

Let's say you decide to invest that initial $3,001 for 10 years at eight percent compounded monthly, the investment would yield $54,268. And, if you kept the investment for 20 years instead of 10, the yield would be $216,482.* Insulate your structure with Morton Buildings' Energy Performer® insulation system, and discover the distinct advantage of owning a Morton building today. |

"Once we moved into the building, the real test on the energy efficiency of the building would come in the hot Mississippi summer. We were expecting good things, but not what we got. The first summer we had no utility bill that exceeded $150. And this is for over 8,600 square feet. Now, since then our church has grown considerably. This past summer (during July and August) we were using our building five days a week, so the air conditioning was running constantly through a very hot summer, and still, the highest bill that we had was under $250. And people just can't believe it. In fact, the utility company came out and changed our meter one time because they thought they were getting a bad reading on the building." Bob M |

*For complete data, reference Morton Buildings' topsheet entitled "Insulate Your Building and Your Pocketbook". Savings differ in various regions of the country. No consideration is given to heat losses or gains from doors, windows, or other openings. Also, no consideration is given to heat gains from people, lighting, or machinery. The buildings and/or businesses are assumed to be identically operated and managed. Power for these buildings comes from electricity and natural gas. If the buildings use electricity and LP gas as fuel, savings would be much greater than these reported figures. |
