“Once we moved into the building, the real test on the energy efficiency of the building would come in the hot Mississippi summer. We were expecting good things, but not what we got. The first summer we had no utility bill that exceeded $150. And this is for over 8,600 square feet. Now, since then our church has grown considerably. This past summer (during July and August) we were using our building five days a week, so the air conditioning was running constantly through a very hot summer, and still, the highest bill that we had was under $250. And people just can’t believe it. In fact, the utility company came out and changed our meter one time because they thought they were getting a bad reading on the building.”

Convenience Store

“The insulation that Morton has, as far as I’m concerned, is probably the best on the market. Our store has got a lot of machines inside of it—drink machines, coolers, coffee machines, ice cream machines—we have all kinds of machines inside this building. We experience some pretty cold winters down here, and we have the full insulation package provided to us by Morton Buildings...(After two winters) we have yet to...turn on the heat in our store. What little bit of heat that has been generated through the machines inside this store is being contained inside that store, keeping the store warm. We’ve only fired our heating system up to test run it...Unbelievable insulation package provided by the Morton Buildings people.”
