"March 29, 1998...we went into the cellar, and I could see [the tornado] coming. After it passed, we had to find some shelter because it was raining so hard. I climbed out and there wasn't anything around. The house was gone, the shed was gone, and the cars were flipped over and smashed. The combine that was in the shed was all right, so we climbed into the cab.

[The tornado] was a monster. It was a mile wide with a couple of hundred mile an hour winds. There's not much that can stand up to that. [Our Sales Consultant] was out there within a couple of days. He told me he wanted to get another one up as quick as possible because it was under warranty. That was good news. All of my stuff was sitting outside and I wanted to get a shed up as quick as possible.

We took about a week to decide if we wanted to make any changes on the shed. I told them to put the same building up again. They were there a couple of weeks later and had it up in about a week at no cost to us. It's nice to have a place to secure things because it will probably be a year from now before we'll move into a house out there.
