"Over the past 12 years, we have built a total of six Morton buildings: a barn, carriage house, indoor arena, historic depot/ bed and breakfast inn, and residence and the upper structure of an historic log cabin. When we were going to build our buildings, I was in the midst of retiring from Shell Oil Company, where I worked for 30 years in Houston, Texas. We had to get the structures up here in Colorado ahead of the time we moved because we had to have a place to put our livestock. We had to build them over the telephone. Morton was one of the only ones that could do that. The engineering department in Illinois was very helpful in putting together our specialized ideas. Morton's willingness to go ahead and have the engineering department design (by a professional group) the historic buildings to fit into the surroundings was outstanding, especially with the cabin. We went with Morton because of the durability and that the buildings were warranted for 50 years."
