Volunteer Organization
Welcomes Low Costs

Three Springs Area Ambulance Service, Inc. was extremely pleased with their Morton building as a show piece for the area and happy to see such low heating costs. "Not only are we pleased and proud with our new building, but the efficiency is unbelievable. Heating an area over 2,600 square feet and using a combination of baseboard/modine hot water heating system, our first year fuel cost was $544. Being a small all volunteer service with limited revenue, low heating costs is welcome news." Newton C. WatkinsThree Springs Area Ambulance Service, Inc. Three Springs, Pennsylvania |

Still Reaping the Benefits

Morton Building owners never lose sight of the efficiency of their Energy Performer® buildings. Even after 13 years, Mike Broseke's chiropractic office is still reaping the benefits of their Morton building. "Morton built our 1,350-sq. ft. office 13 years ago. Our highest annual gas bill since then has been only $196 and our yearly average is $179. This amount includes the monthly service charge of $4.38 (or $52.56 per year). Thanks for a very efficient building!" Michael A. Broseke, D.C.Kenton, Ohio |

Low Utility Bills Under
the Mississippi Sun

Emmanuel Baptist Church in Starkville, Mississippi, more than doubled the size of their church building, but their utility bills still seemed to stay low when they ran heat or air conditioning. Pastor Bob McDonald kept track of the utility bills for the summer of 2000 and has been very pleased with the results. He figured out that the average monthly bill for the summer months was $465 for the church's nearly 20,000 square feet.
"People just can't believe (our low utility costs). In fact, the utility company came out and changed our meter one time, because they thought they were getting a bad reading on the building. One of our members likes to tell people that we heat (our building) with a light bulb and we cool it with an ice cube." Bob McDonaldEmmanuel Baptist Church Starkville, MS |

Compare With Other Builders

Owners of Morton Buildings' Energy Performer® insulation system are always pleasantly surprised with their energy savings. After customers experience the energy savings for themselves, there is no doubt in their mind their Energy Performer® building was worth the investment. Dave Campbell maintains 68 degrees all winter long in his 5,670 square feet building and the savings are a lot lower than he ever predicted. His February gas bill was $121.13 and summer bills with air conditioning are approximately $40 more. "Although we drywalled our interior, if I had to do it all over again, I would have gone with your steel interior. At that time it was not in our budget, and if I had to give any person advice who is in the same situation as mine, I would find room in my budget." Campbell really knew he made the right decision in choosing Morton Buildings when he compared Morton with another contractor he had used in the past. Below are the results Campbell came up with in his comparison. |
