Opportunity Description:

The Research & Development Technician position entails working with design Engineers and R & D Engineers to provide new product research and development as well as new equipment and processes and through research and development set new industry standards for excellence with the use of detailed drawings and models.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Model parts / assemblies in 3-D solids using AutoCAD Inventor
• Assemble physical parts into working prototypes and mockups for testing (structural and purpose)
• Assist engineers in project development

Opportunity Requirements:

• Associates degree preferred in related field
• 3D modeling experience, preferably with AutoCAD Inventor
• Basic skills in Word and Excel
• Ability to solve practical problems
• Must have a positive outgoing attitude and excellent communication skills
• Must be a self-starter with the ability to meet regular deadlines

Skills and/or education in the following areas desirable but not required:

• Algebra and Trigonometry
• Mechanics and Strength of Materials
• Basic machine shop operations (lathe, mill, etc.)
• Basic carpentry
• PLC operation and programming
• Troubleshooting
