Opportunity Description:
The Construction Center Manager will create an environment that encourages teamwork at the local construction center level. The manager is expected to perform the responsibilities and requirements of the sales consultant as well as manage the daily responsibilities of the local office. This position is responsible for acting as a liaison between Morton Buildings and the customer, coordinating with various company personnel on the customer's wishes and assuring both parties agree upon all aspects of the building project.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct all daily operations at the construction center which may include scheduling, coordination, order review, dealing with personnel issues, marketing, paperwork, conflict resolution and compliance with MBI policies and procedures.
- Coordinate and schedule w/ MBI team, subcontractors and permitting authorities all building projects within the construction center.
- Motivate, encourage and train personnel as per corporate policies and procedures.
- Oversee local marketing efforts for lead generation and maintain, develop and follow up with all leads within protected sales territory.
- Create offers to purchase and contractual paperwork.
- Oversee and ensure open communication with customer during complete building process and warranty period.
- Address all customer and employee concerns/conflicts in a timely manner.
- Attend all company sponsored training meetings and seminars.
- Conduct annual performance appraisals on all construction center employees.
Opportunity Requirements:
- Minimum of associates degree or 5 years of construction, selling or customer service experience
- Preferred experience with construction sales or extensive project management experience
- Be able to exhibit conflict resolution and think on your feet capabilities
- Must have excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Have good organizational, multi tasking and problem solving skills
- Be able to maintain customer confidentiality
- Self motivation, positive high energy work ethic and integrity is a must
- Be a team player and work well with others
- Must have minimum intermediate level computer skills with knowledge of Excel and Word
- Minimal overnight travel required
- Regular attendance required
