Opportunity Description:

The Architectural Drafting Technician is a full time opportunity that involves creating and developing various forms of Architectural building plans from written contracts and information with the use of the Autocad system. The plans will consist of building specifications and layout, sections, details, truss drawings and specialty items required for specific building code related issues. The degree of difficulty on the projects and advancement opportunities will increase as the individual's knowledge of drawing / assembling components and experience develops.

Drafting Technicians work with various individuals within the company such as engineers, architects, construction estimators, project managers and sales consultants. An individual will work on a variety of custom designed projects that may include farm machinery storage facilities, suburban garages, horse barns, houses, veterinarian clinics, restaurants, churches, office complexes, manufacturing facilities and much more. All technicians work in a hands on training environment that includes various training sessions, correspondence courses with the aid of various Morton Buildings manuals and visual aids.

Opportunity Requirements:

• Minimum of a 2-year Architectural Degree
• Must be able to meet daily deadlines
• Good math skills
• Must have a positive, willing to learn attitude
• Must be a self starter
• Needs to be service minded
• Good communication skills
