What We Build
At Morton Buildings, we construct only high-quality, post-frame or “timber-frame” structures. Whether you desire a home, farm shop, general storage building, or pole barn, Morton can meet your needs. If you’re planning a horse barn, fire station, or church we can make your dream come true. When you need a commercial structure, such as a store, restaurant, strip mall, or mini-storage, we work with you every step of the way.
Our History
Founded in 1903 as the Interlocking Fence Company, our core function was to sell fencing by mail order to farmers. As the agricultural industry thrived, so did Interlocking Fence Company. In 1949, the company created its first machine storage building for farm use; by 1964 Interlocking Fence Company had become known as Morton Buildings, Inc.
We Are The Industry Leader
When we ventured into the construction industry, our goal was to create a product unequalled in excellence. As we tested various building materials and components, it became apparent that—in order to maintain our high standards for quality—we would need to manufacture most of our own building components, and that’s what we have done. Today we persist in testing our building components so that we can continue to create and deliver a high-quality product that is unsurpassed in the industry. To ensure quality, consistence, and on-schedule delivery, Morton owns and operates six manufacturing plants located across the United States.
We are America’s leader in post-frame construction. We operate over 100 construction centers and have sales offices in 36 states. Morton Buildings constructs thousands of buildings a year and we have nearly 500,000 satisfied customers.
Our Financial Strength
Morton’s consistently strong Dun & Bradstreet credit rating reflects our financial stability and gives our customers peace of mind. They know that Morton Buildings will be around to serve them during and after the completion of their project. We also offer one of the strongest, non-prorated warranties in the industry—and we honor our warranties.
Concept to Completion—We Are Here For You
When you choose Morton Buildings, we work with you every step of the way.The person you’ll work with most closely is your local Morton Sales Consultant. With his or her knowledge and expertise, your consultant can help guide you through the entire construction process—concept to completion. This person will familiarize you with timelines, permitting requirements, and even available financing for your project.
If your building requires certified design or engineering, Allied Design Architectural & Engineering Group, P.C., provides these services to our projects. This team of engineers, drafting technicians, and architects uses advanced, computer-aided design systems that help you plan a functional, energy-efficient space.
Once your plans are set and you’re ready for the building to be erected, our construction estimating group will ensure that all the necessary materials are shipped from the Morton plant closest to your building site. Company-trained drivers that are employed directly by Morton Buildings will deliver the building materials to your site and then carefully unload them for you.
After the materials arrive and are unloaded, your Morton construction crew—utilizing the most efficient and safe construction methods possible—will erect your building from the ground up.
